The appliance and its accessible surfaces become hot during use — use the handles and knobs provided, and allow to cool before cleaning or storing. Do not touch hot surfaces, including the outer housing, lid, and ceramic pot during and after cooking. Extreme caution must be used when moving the appliance while it contains hot food or liquid. Do not immerse the main heating base, cord, or plug in water or any other liquid — only the removable ceramic/stoneware pot and lid should be washed, and only if the manufacturer confirms they are dishwasher- or hand-wash-safe. Do not operate if the cord or plug is damaged, or after the appliance malfunctions, is dropped, or damaged in any way — return it to an authorised service agent for examination or repair. Do not let the cord hang over the edge of a table or counter, or touch hot surfaces. Always attach the plug to the appliance first, then plug into the wall outlet; to disconnect, switch off, then remove the plug. Unplug from the outlet when not in use and before cleaning. Do not use the ceramic pot on a hob, gas ring, or open flame, or under a grill, unless specifically stated as suitable by the manufacturer. Do not place a cold ceramic pot into a hot base, or add cold liquid to a hot pot, as sudden temperature changes may cause it to crack. Do not use the ceramic pot if it is cracked, chipped, or damaged. Never operate the appliance empty. Do not overfill — leave space below the rim as instructed in the user manual. Steam released during cooking is hot; lift the lid away from your face and hands to avoid scalds. Do not use outdoors. Check the voltage rating matches your mains supply before use.
