FitToo small
I bought this a week ago, size 16, my size is 12 but this was the only size available in the shop so I bought it as it wasn’t shaped so I thought I might get away with it looking ok.
Got it home and as soon as I took it out of the wrapper the beads started to fall off. Tried to put it on and struggled with the left sleeve as it was twisted right down to the cuff. The sleeve hasn’t been stitched in correctly so I was unable to put it on. Although it was size 16 the fit - if I could have got it on - was more of a size 12
When I got home I ordered it on line and it was a proper size 16, too big, sleeves far too long and again the beads fell off as soon as I took the wrapping off! When I returned the first one to the shop and told the assistant the sleeve hadn’t been sewn in properly she didn’t make any notes about it but hung with other returns so I assume it would have been put back on the rail in the shop for someone else to buy it!
I have worn the top out twice and both times, strangers have come up to me and told me how much they admired my top! It is very sparkly and very comfortable to wear but I am really not sure how I am going to wash it.
Beads already dropping before it was out of the bag and then all over the place and couldn’t find the thread to try and see them back on? Gave up and returned it.
The design is superb, even at my age I am able to wear this when I go on my next cruise. However I think is this is a garment that will be difficult to maintain and I doubt it will last more than twice. which is due to the fabric which easily catches on its own threads
Looks and feels good. My only concern is the tiny metal pieces which shimmer seem to fall off all the time. I haven’t worn this for any length of time yet. Just hope the top doesn’t develop bald patches!
