Each audiobook is a solid block, shaped and printed like a little book. A child simply places it on the player to start listening. There is nothing to configure: no wi-fi, no account, no screen, and no microphone, camera or adverts cluttering the experience. A three-year-old can work it independently and choose what to listen to without needing an adult. The battery is long lasting and built in, recharging over the supplied USB-C cable, so there are no batteries to buy.
