Great doorbell with nest aware through Google One
Having a Google One subscription with Nest aware benefits this is a great door bell to have and to integrate in your Google home assistant environment. Just haven't figured out how to get my pixel phone to alert when away from home if someone rings the door bell, so I can speak with the person at the door, I know it is possible, just missing the alert but this may be just me haven't found that notification sub-setting

Smart, modern looking doorbell. But……
Pros: Looks great, fitting is easy as battery powered. Clear images and capture zones are easy to define. Everything is done on the app. Can link with Alexa so that the doorbell rings inside the house. Cons: You will wish that you purchased the wired doorbell as the battery will last at best 3 weeks. Less if it’s cold outside. Even less if you have the recording times on max. The feed can be laggy, especially over mobile out and about. The facial recognition features and saved video are all paid for features. Without it it’s only really a basic video doorbell that is useful only at the point of someone being at the door. Summary: On offer worth the money. But if you intend to use it to secure your house you will need it wired it battery and also the paid subscription model.

Great features!
I brought this two weeks ago and it’s honestly made a world of difference. Being able to see who is at the door, parcels that may have been dropped off, and to talk to people while I’m not in has been a convenience that I might not be able to live without now.

Futureproofing - sometimes missed parcels.
Don't know why we didn't get one sooner. Years spent yelling 'I'll be there in a moment' down the stairs, tripping over cats etc. Finally, we can see who it is and speak to them before they run off or leave aa 'sorry we missed you' card! So far, the battery monitor is saying it still has six weeks before it will need a charge, so happy with that.. Had some issues getting it to talk to both of our mobiles, but manged eventually - not quite as per instructions though, so be aware!

Better!
Bought this to replace the Ring Doorbell camera I originally had as it wasn't able to connect to the rest of my Google home items. So much better in every sense. Don't have to pay for the subscription and still get to see who has been at the front door. I am able to use my Google Hubs to access the camera as well.

I bought it a few weeks ago and it stops the dog barking which helps loads

Hello Tam,
I can advise the following for the Google Nest Video Doorbell (Battery):
Uses a motion sensor and is designed to record whenever someone comes to the door, regardless of whether they press the button. This feature is a core part of its security functionality.

Hi Swerve
No, the Google Nest Video Doorbell (Battery) does not come with its own screen but has to be connected via the Google App or Wifi to your smart phone, tablet or PC. The built in camera will then transmit pictures to your device.

Hi Debs26,
The Google Nest Video Doorbell (Battery) does not have a chime. However, you’ll get an alert on your phone and on your Google Assistant-enabled speakers or displays when someone rings the doorbell.
If you were to use the wired version, you can connect this to an existing chime. See the wired version here: https://www.argos.co.uk/product/8264673...
