Stylish Looking DVD Writer
I bought this DVD writer because I needed to replace my lap top and these days they don't have disc drives and I have a lot of storage on DVD/CD. I found this Asus writer just the job, didn't take up much space, easy to set up and use. I have copied around 30 discs without a hitch to my lap top in no time. I am also happy that I can play films and music I have on disc. I would highly recommend this writer.

Purchased this as wanted to link it with my "Canon printer"....as my Computor has no CD/DVD drive...but ASUS ZEN Drive..did not transfer the printer drivers ?....so i dont know what this purchase is for ???....will keep it in case i find out....just now cant use my printer.

Getting music back agaain
Like a lot of new laptops today, mine does not have a CD drive. My car has no CD reader only USB drive. I attached ASUS drive with cable provided and using fre:ac "ripped" some CDs I needed in the car. No problems whatsoever. Reading some reviews, purchasers thought drive a little flimsy - I haven't found this it appears just as strong as the last inbuilt reader on older laptops.

the ZenDrive U9M is a DVD writer/burner that reads and writes standard CD and DVD formats (including M-DISC for archival storage). It is not designed to read Blu-ray discs or 4K Ultra HD Blu-ray discs.
