"The effectiveness of the appliance depends on the length and type of hair. It is suitable for all hair types, but if the hair is not at least shoulder length, achieving noticeable curls may be more challenging but again it depends on the hair type and how short it is."

I have checked with Babyliss and they advise: "This is a 32MM Barrel it would be able to be used but on really short hair wouldn't create full curls but a volume bounce."
