Mixed Results: Promising Features Undermined by Op
The CREATIVE T100 2.0 speakers presented an interesting proposition for my desktop audio needs, offering genuinely good sound quality and attractive design at a reasonable price point. However, several operational shortcomings prevented these speakers from achieving their full potential, resulting in an experience that frustrated as much as it pleased. Sound Quality and Design Credit where it's due: these speakers deliver surprisingly capable audio performance for their compact size. I found the sound well-balanced with clear highs and respectable bass response, particularly impressive given their modest footprint. They handled various musical genres competently, from classical to rock, and the USB playback feature supporting FLAC files was a welcome touch for my quality-conscious listening habits. The sleek design integrated well into my workspace without dominating the desk. Connectivity Options The multiple input options (Bluetooth, USB, AUX) initially appeared generous, and I appreciated the included remote control for convenience. USB stick playback worked reliably, and the initial Bluetooth setup proved straightforward. Where Things Fell Apart Unfortunately, the practical reality of using these speakers daily revealed significant frustrations. Initially, my speakers would give random, small pops and bleeps that were incredibly annoying. It took me a while to work out that this was the speakers disconnecting from Bluetooth and reconnecting. Eventually, I discovered that deleting my Bluetooth driver and replacing it with a Microsoft Generic Bluetooth driver solved the noise issue, but this level of troubleshooting shouldn't be necessary for supposedly plug-and-play speakers. Whilst Bluetooth was an attractive option for me to cut down on wires, the lag proved severe enough to stop me from watching video because lip syncing was always an issue. This completely defeated the wireless convenience, forcing me to order an AUX cable (because, like the power supply lead, the enclosed AUX lead was too short) to achieve practical desk placement. I also found the AUX connection could distort when receiving strong signals from my PC sound card, requiring careful volume balancing. The absence of a master power switch meant these speakers drew power continuously on standby, which felt wasteful for desktop speakers typically within arm's reach. The manual was very poor, relying on simple pictures rather than clear written instructions, providing little help when I needed to troubleshoot these various issues. Verdict These speakers showcase good audio engineering hampered by poor practical design decisions. If you're primarily using the AUX connection at moderate volumes and can overlook the power consumption issue, you'll find decent value. However, the impractically short cables, deeply problematic Bluetooth performance requiring driver workarounds, and inadequate documentation created unnecessary obstacles for me. At this price point, I felt I was paying for features that didn't quite deliver on their promise.

Small but Mighty
Had these for a few weeks now and I'm quite impressed with them Good bass, crisp sound and plenty of volume. The remote control feels cheap and flimsy but you don't really need it unless you plan to use them via Bluetooth/USB Stick

Very Good Overall with One Gripe
These are very good speakers with a nice sound to them. Very easy to connect to my PC via Bluetooth (or via headphone jack if preferred). My one and only gripe with these headphones is that when connected to my PC via Bluetooth there is a slight delay between sound and picture. For example, when watching a movie the sound doesn't quite match the lip movement, whether it's an online video or one on my hard drive. If connected via the headphone jack there is no such mis-sync.

Surprised at performance
My Firesticks recently died (!) so was looking at a short term replacement until the current version of them is available. Frankly the Creative Speakers are so good that even without a seperate Bass Box they genuinely amazed me at their price.

Amazing sound!
I bought these creative speakers about 6 months ago. They connected straight away and the amazing deep sound was a real pleasure to experience.
