For a budget curtain pole this is ideal, easy cut to length. Only negative is the pre-drilled pilot holes were not central and too big diameter, therefore poles not fitting together any or tight

Curtain pole wasn't the colour described.
I bought the pole to replace my oak curtain pole which had broken. When I opened it I found it to be a pale pine colour which didn't match my decor so I returned it and ordered a brass one instead.

Practical and attractive
Good product but one of the brackets came out of the box with a crack along the wood grain so this component was not usable

Not great
I couldn't find a curtain pole the right size, so thought I'd get a wooden one so I could shorten it a bit - ended up being a complete waste of time and money. I didn't realise it came in two parts and the fixing screw as well as the pre-drilled holes didn't work, the holes aren't centered and the screw doesn't hold the two pole parts together. I would have returned it and got my money back if I hadn't have already shortened it!

Disappointing
Bought this for eyelet curtains but as there was a middle bracket the curtains stop short of the middle. The pole is in two halves and because the holes in the poles to screw them together is off center the pole don't fit evenly together and don't feel stable without the middle bracket to hold it level .even after re -threading the curtain wouldn't overlap because of the bracket .

I bought this curtain pole but it wasn't quite long enough, so unfortunately had to return it. It looked fairly good for the price and looks quite straightforward to fit.

For the 2.4m Wooden Curtain Pole - Oak Effect, the screws provided are designed to be used directly with wood. When fixing to a wooden window frame, you can use the screws without the raw-plugs.
