I’ve bought two of these curtain poles and I’ve found them to be great. Really chunky poles and easy to put up. I’ve got floor length curtains hanging from one and it is plenty strong enough to hold them without bending. I’d certainly buy again.

This curtain pole looks good once installed but the join in the middle is flimsy and the two parts come apart very easily. But for a rental property it does the job.

I returned for a full refund. It has a design fault - not possible to fix this into a solid wall due to the angle that the holes are arranged in the brackets (see photo). I have also attached the fixing instructions as these are not shown in the Argos website. The alignment holes for joining the pole at the centre were also slightly offset but I would have managed to overcome this. Disappointed as quality was good.
