Good replacement.
I bought this kettle to replace one with a broken lid. The kettle is heavier than the last one and the water level gauge is not clear. It is quite noisy when boiling but quite quick and overall is quite a sturdy kettle and I am pleased with its performance so far.

It is a fabric filter, but seems quite well designed in that it is smaller pieces in a housing rather than the usual larger piece that rots, splits or breaks up.
Had our kettle since early May & going strong, but being black in colour, keeping the outside is not easy!
