About this product
Boil water quickly for family breakfasts or when friends pop round. The Morphy Richards Equip Electric Jug Kettle has a 1.7l capacity, enough for 6 cups, and a powerful 3000W element for rapid boiling. Its stainless steel design looks smart, and the easy-view water gauge shows how much you're boiling. The kettle lights up when working, the push-button lid makes refilling simple, and the removable, washable limescale filter keeps cups fresh. Boil-dry protection switches it off if empty, and the 360-degree base suits left or right-handed use.

Nice colour.
Bought Kettle a week ago. Mainly for the colour. It’s fairly noisy but it doesn’t matter to me.

No drips, noisy boil but I like it
Only had this a week but already prefer it to the Russell Hobs kettle we had previously. No drips, bit noisy as it boils but worth the little extra money over cheaper kettles.

Several design faults.
I was very disappointed with this kettle and returned it for a refund. The kettle gets very hot to touch on the outside. The water level indicator is almost impossible to read and is only on one side of the kettle so only suitable for right handed users. Also it is very loud.

You get what you pay for.
I bought this to replace my 8yr old Kitchen Aid kettle. It’s does the job but is noisy and takes longer to reach boiling point

Good Kettle
I bought this recently because it looked like a good product. It's very good, it looks smart and it boils quickly. The only drawback is that it's very difficult to read the water level gauge for the minimum water level.

Disappointing
Bought this a couple of weeks ago to replace a Russell Hobbs kettle solely because it kept breaking. However this Murphy Richards kettle is not a patch on the R Hobbs so wish we kept with it, despite the visits to the store to return. Returning a broken kettle at Argos has been straightforward. The kettle is very very noisy. The water level’s impossible to see. Also the kettle is bigger(in size) making it awkward to fill. If only we could have found the size before we bought it but the only size that was available was the capacity which was the same as the R Hobbs.

Hi,
The Morphy Richards 102784 Equip Jug Kettle - Cream has a Stainless steel exterior and Stainless steel interior.
Thanks for using Q&A
We can confirm that the Equip kettle will stop heating and turn off once it has boiled. The kettle is cordless with a 360° base and is designed to automatically switch off after boiling for safety.
If the kettle is lifted off the base during boiling, the heating will stop and power will be cut while it is off the base. However, for safety reasons, we do not recommend removing the kettle from the base while it is boiling. It is always advised to allow the kettle to fully boil and switch off automatically before removing it from the base.
