Morphy Richards Equipe kettle
The kettle so far has been just what I was looking for. It's a smart brushed steel design with an illuminated switch. It boils quickly and is pretty quiet, certainly quieter than my old one. So all round I'd recommend this kettle.

I bought this kettle a few weeks ago as my other kettle stopped working and overall I’m happy with it. It’s quick to boil but I have to say it is quite noisy hence the 4 stars.

Bought this a few months ago, as I needed a replacement black kettle (to match other kitchen kit). Not expensive, good capacity, quick boiling, easy pouring with a good filter. Also ergonomically very good.

Leave well alone
I quickly returned this kettle. The outside was dangerously hot to touch(unlike plastic kettles). The base had a split where the mouldings joined and would have let moisture in. Because the kettle is steel it is very heavy especially when filled to capacity. It was difficult to see the water level because of the dark grey steel interior. The kettle is very loud - and would definately trouble those with Neurodivergence. The black lead was too long with little storage space underneath to wind it away. Very bad design and a huge disappointment for the money .

Well engineered
Decent kettle that is well engineered.The lid is especially worth a mention it opens fully and seals perfectly so that the only steam that escapes is through the spout.

We can confirm that the Equip kettle will stop heating and turn off once it has boiled. The kettle is cordless with a 360° base and is designed to automatically switch off after boiling for safety.
If the kettle is lifted off the base during boiling, the heating will stop and power will be cut while it is off the base. However, for safety reasons, we do not recommend removing the kettle from the base while it is boiling. It is always advised to allow the kettle to fully boil and switch off automatically before removing it from the base.
