Setting up issues
Have not been able to set up…. Even though I have done all the setup instruction multiple times it will not set up so apart from this issue I cannot give a review on the performance of the actual product.

Tpi extender great if you have a weak signal spot
Changed broadband provider and needed an extender to cover weak spot in the back bedrooms. This does the job nicely with the bonus of an ethernet connection for a non wifi recorder box. One thing though ignore the set up guide for smart connection wasted 20 mins. WPS connection took seconds

Worked fine to extend smart home
Worked to extend wifi to bathroom heating

Easy set up
I bought this to get internet to my daughters bed room as it's the furthest from the router, it was easy to set up using the TP link tether app and haven't heard a word from her since so must be working well 🙂

Not Great
I bought this a few weeks back and all was good until I used it for what I originally needed it for. To extend out to my garden bar, I'm within the range that it states that it can achieve but did not work. Master reset it and tried to return but they said because I have used it and joined my wifi network they can't take it back. All the packaging was there but no. I asked what I could use and they suggested a few other items but again if I were to buy and try but never worked then I would have two units of no use.

It works now
First one didn't connect. Nor did the second one so I had to employ a computer guy to connect it for me . Not very happy .

Hi Kegan,
TP-Link Range Extender is broadly compatible with most standard Wi-Fi routers, including both TP-Link and non-TP-Link models. However, compatibility issues may arise with routers or gateways that use modified, outdated, or non-standard firmware. Additionally, TP-Link extenders can connect to open Wi-Fi networks that have no wireless password and hidden Wi-Fi networks.
Thanks for using Q&A.
Hello Adam,
After checking with our supplier, they have advised for the TP-Link AC1200 Dual Band Wi-Fi Range Extender & Booster: We do not include an Ethernet cable in our packaging; you will need to prepare one yourself. If your PS5 works fine when connected to your router via Ethernet, connecting it to this extender should also work.
Thank you for using Q&A.
Hi Jackie,
You will need to link the booster to your router via web UI/APP/WPS button.

Hi Peter,
TP-Link Range Extender is broadly compatible with most standard Wi-Fi routers, including both TP-Link and non-TP-Link models. However, it does not compatible with other brands' powerline devices.

Hello Chris,
The supplier has advised the following for the TP-Link AC1200 Dual Band Wi-Fi Range Extender & Booster:
“ Yes, the TP‑Link RE315 can work both ways, depending on how you set it up:
As a classic range extender → Creates a second network.
As an SSID clone → One Wi-Fi name, During setup (via the Tether app or web interface), there's an option to copy the host router’s SSID and password for both bands. By removing the _EXT suffix manually, you create one seamless network:
As part of OneMesh (if your router supports it). ”
Thanks for using Q & A.
