Nicely designed kettle.
Very happy with this kettle. A bit expensive compared to others but does appear to be a quality product. Made in uk so even better.

Looks and works well
So far so good. Kettle looks good, perfect size for a small kitchen, and works really well. Only time will tell if the investment into Dualit was worth it.

Good looking
I bought this kettle a month ago. Fits nicely in with my kitchen decor. Boils, I think reasonably quiet, compared to my old kettle.

Love it
Love it . I know it costs more than the average kettle but I think it’s worth the money . Functions well as a kettle and looks great.

Excellent product
This was quite an expensive item but having received it and used it I can see why it would cost. However, it is worth every penny and is extremely well made and should last a long time.

Stylish with great features.
Stylish, practical and easy to use. Like the 2 sided measures showing how many cups as well as metric units. Like how the lid opens but remains attached and smooth action on/ off power switch. Large handle with secure grip. Quiet but boils quickly.

Hello there,
The supplier has advised the Dualit 72010 Jug Kettle - Black is 2.4KW.
I hope this helps.
Thank you for using Q&A.
Hi Pete
The lead is 65cm long
Thanks for using Q & A
From the point where the cable comes out. The base if the plug, to the point where the cable enters the kettle base is 70cm.
The base itself is 16.5cm in diameter.
Currently, my kettle is stood 70cm to the right of the wall socket which it’s plugged into (the centre point of that wall socket is 25cm above the surface of the worktop).
In this position there is no strain on the cable, but it is not possible to move the kettle further away.
For context; I have the Dualit four slice toaster and the kettle plugged into a double socket. The toaster sits directly in front of the socket (10cm in front, so the toaster doesn’t heat the cables of course). There is a small gap, then I have a set of tea, coffee, sugar canisters in a row, a small gap, then the kettle. Looks fine and is certainly not too squashed together.
A lot of info, but hopefully covers all bases for you.

Stainless steel. If the kettle gets splashes of water on it, I would recommend drying it fairly promptly and buffing it. The longer water marks are left on the body, the harder they become to remove.
Looks great when kept clean and shiny!
Hi Mo,
The body of the kettle is stainless steel.
Thanks for using Q&A!
Yes. The main part of the body is stainless steel.
Main body is stainless steel with just the handle etc in white.

Thank you for using Argos Q&A.
This is a question I asked Dualit direct, the mesh filter at the top of the spout is made of metal that is encased in a plastic frame. The water guage is clear plastic. Dualit assured me that these parts are BPA-free. I chose the kettle as the vast majority is plastic free. I think most kettles with a water level guage will have a plastic part in them. Also, loved this kettle but its developed 2 annoying faults after 6 years, it should have lasted longer but nothing does anymore!
Hi Che,
This item comes with a fully washable limescale filter which goes inside the kettle but is completely safe.
Thanks for using Argos Q&A
Hi Nicola,
No, the heating element is not replaceable on this Dualit 72010 Jug Kettle.
Thank you for using Argos Q & A
It’s quieter than the previous model I had. I couldn’t hear the radio over the racket it made. Given its function, I think the noise is acceptable.
Hi Flossie,
Thanks for your query about the Dualit 72010 Jug Kettle - Black.
I'd be unable to give an accurate answer to this as how noisy and item is is subject to personal perception/opinion and is highly subjective.
I wouldn't say it was very quiet, in fact it can be quite noisy when coming to boiling point.
I've found that the kettle is noisier before it is descaled, then it is a little quieter for a while.
