Disappointed
Poor instructions, I couldn’t work out how to assemble the unit. I searched on You Tube for a video, but nothing available for this particular item. Sadly I had to return the item, which I must say was easier and quicker than I thought it would be. Still looking for something . Due to returning item I cannot comment truly on design and sturdiness.

5 tier steel garage shelving
Bought two units to add to my previously purchased one, which was acquired in 2011. Thinking, when I saw that Argos was still selling the old shelves which I had previously bought, I immediately bought two sets. Unfortunately time has not passed well with these items. They, as previously stated by another customer, are of inferior quality to the one I bought in 2010. The metal is a lot thinner, the mdf boards are substantially thinner and the unit rocks and is not sturdy like before. Obviously a cost cutting exercise like everything else in this cheap, no pride and no accountability world we live in today.

Ideal shelves for shed
Pretty sturdy,easy to put together. Only minus is the mdf shelves ,so if you have a bit of damp,replace the shelf with plywood or they'll "blow". For the money they're OK.

Sturdy, very easy to build, good size
I bought three of these for my garage- they pop together very easy - best to use a rubber mallet if you can or a hammer and a tea towel to protect the paint on the metal. Anyone can put these together, no fixings needed, and when they are complete they are a great size with good deep shelves. Strong, stable, can be fixed to a wall or whatever and give a great amount of storage

As the MDF shelves are not attached they can be replaced with identically sized wooden shelves. This would not affect the overall load capacity of 175Kg per shelf.

It should be easy enough, as long as the wood is cut to size as the mdf just sits on top of the black frame.

Yes, as long as the microwave does not accede the maximum Load per Shelf: 175kg it will be fine.

The holes on the Argos Home 5 Tier Steel Heavy Duty Garage Shelving Unit aprons do not have any additional function. The holes are designed to fit the shelves in to, allowing the shelves to be set at different heights, the holes left over do not have any other function.

The measurments of the shelving is Shelf Dimensions: 180H x 90W x 45D cm the frame is not to thick so would not add much onto the overall width and depth.
