Delighted!
I bought this a few weeks ago due to problems with mould in the bedroom. I leave it in my hall. The first four days saw me emptying 3.5 litres a day! Happily it is now regulating itself and I only have to empty it perhaps once every six days. It turns itself on and off and seems very rarely on so the electricity usage, which was initially a worry, shouldn’t be too much of a problem. It is a bit noisier than I would have expected however it’s in the hall so again not too much of a worry. I would highly recommend it. Taken one star off for the noise.

Brilliant dehumidifier. Can’t believe how much water it’s getting out of our house. Not too noisy

Brilliant product, does the job perfectly.

Effective clothes dryer.
I bought this dehumidifier on 16th Jan 2026 after speaking to others about drying my washing indoors during the winter. I have found it invaluable and effective. I’ve only used it a couple of times so far, so I can’t speak of its longevity, but it has a 5 year guarantee so that shouldn’t be a problem. Recommended!

Best Dehumidifier
I was recommended this Dehumidifier by a friend, I am so glad I took there advice it has drawn out so much damp out of the house 60 litres in 4days amazing, we put it on night mode it’s so quiet it has wheels to move it around if necessary but we leave it at the top of the landing which works great for our house

Quiet and efficient.
I bought Meaco because of their reputation. I'm not disappointed, very quiet. It runs in the spare room and I can't hear it. Laundry mode is 6 hours. Not long enough for heavy fabrics. For heavy fabrics, set at lowest humidity figure and set to constant.

A bit big.
Bought this for our landing. Had to return it because it is so large. Looks like a kitchen bin. Returned and purchased the 12 litre model. Very pleased with the performance of the 12 litre.

Hello Linz,
After checking with our supplier, they have advised for the Meaco Dry Arete One 20 Litre Dehumidifier: It's generally recommended to avoid using extension leads with dehumidifiers, if you must, make sure it’s suitable for the power requirements of the dehumidifier and rated for the appropriate load.

Hi There.
Meaco Dry Arete One 20 Litre Dehumidifier:
Having checked the instructions, they advise:
The dust filter is a life-long filter and therefore should not need to be replaced (other than for wear and
tear reasons). When used regularly, the filter may become clogged with dust and dirt particles. The
filter must be cleaned a minimum of every two weeks.
1. Remove the dust filter from the dehumidifier by sliding the filter case to the left, away from the
dehumidifier. The dust filter is built into the filter case and cannot be removed – you may have
to remove the HEPA filter to access the dust filter.
2. Clean the dust filter with the end of a hoover or soapy water no hotter than 40°C. Rinse and
dry completely before inserting back into the dehumidifier.
The HEPA filter is optional and the dehumidifier can be used without this fitted. The HEPA filter is not life-long and must be replaced when the colour changes from white to
grey (it depends on the environment the dehumidifier is being used in but the HEPA filter will
need replacing roughly every 3 months). It can be hoovered every so often to remove dust or dirt.
