I Love It!
I really love this awning. It's the first I've ever had one and the first time installing one, which I had no choice but to do alone but would recommend two people as it's quite heavy. I purchased a drill bit set and an adjustable spanner and socket set as these things are needed. There are two adjustable bolts on either side so you can adjust the angle of the awning and a small spirit-level under the material so you can see if everything is level. It's a solid piece of kit and doesn't feel or look cheap. The range it extends is quite far and makes the area under it quite cosy now. With a nice solid winding handle, it doesn't take long to extend or retract. The only problem I have is wondering why I didn't get one earlier.

Hello Yvonne.
Greenhurst Kensington Garden Awning - 3.5m:
No, it is not recommended to leave the awning out all year round. While it is suitable for use during spring and summer, it is not designed to withstand harsh weather conditions such as heavy rain, snow, or strong winds. To prolong its life, retract the awning when not in use and consider storing it during winter months.

Hello Crissie,
I have spoken to our suppliers who have advised as follows.
The awning can be rolled out to any position required. There is tension in the arms which will hold the desired depth. You need to wind the roller out to just past where you need the shade and wind back a quarter turn to put tension in the fabric.
Thank you for using Q&A.
