The supplier has advised the following for the Johnstone's Damp Matt Paint 750ml - White:
"If the paint is blistering on the surface this indicates that there is an issue with the surface. This needs to be identified and sorted before trying other coatings.
I would suggest that if previous products have blistered this will too.
Without more information, it is very difficult to give the customer any further advise."

Johnstone's Damp Matt Paint can be applied to brick, cement, plaster and concrete and is effective when used as a waterproof layer under a render or to cover up damp stains on painted areas. It is particularly good for treating rooms which are naturally moist, such as kitchens and bathrooms.

It says on it that the paintbrushes need to be washed in white spirit.
It says its oil-based not water based.
