About this product
The Argos Home Lido Extending Dining Table and 4 Chairs gives you flexible seating for everyday meals and larger family gatherings without taking up permanent space. The toughened glass top sits on a coordinated painted grey frame that keeps things looking modern and wipes clean after every meal. When you need extra room, simply pull the table ends apart and the extension pops up from underneath, locking into place to seat more people comfortably. Four chairs with padded seats and tall backrests give everyone a comfortable spot around the table.
The butterfly extension mechanism sits discreetly under the centre of the table when not in use, so there's nothing extra to store away. The toughened glass resists everyday knocks and heat from plates. Each chair has a sturdy metal frame that supports up to 130 kilogrammes and a long backrest for proper support during longer meals. The grey finish coordinates across the table and chairs, fitting in with most kitchen or dining room styles. Simple assembly required with two people recommended, all fixings provided. I love this table and chairs as it’s lovely to look at but have noticed it is very easily scratched. I am waiting for a table cloth to arrive but will be disappointed that have to cover it. We have used mats at meal times . I actually cannot point a finger on a time it was scratched and there are a few so much be very sensitive.

Nice set but,,,
A really nice set but when putting it together I found there was too much debris left in the chair holes for screwing together. This caused a couple of cross-threading issues to get the screws in properly and safely. I had to check each hole, clean them out. Too many cross-threaded holes and you can't get screws in at all so wouldn't be able to use the chairs. If you buy, and I actually recommend this set, be sure to check all chair mounts!

“ This is shown in the instruction manual on step 2, if you push the two ends of the table back to the centre the middle piece will move automatically. ”

After checking with our supplier, they have advised for the Argos Home Lido Glass Extending Dining Table & 4 Grey Chairs: Yes we have 2 metal support for sliding extension and it is only recommended for 110kgs or for residential used only.
