About this product
The Argos Home Lido Extending Dining Set gives you a table and four chairs that adapt when you need space for extra guests. The toughened glass top sits on a black painted metal frame, keeping things modern and practical. Pull the table ends apart and the extension pops up from underneath the centre, locking into place to add an extra 30cm for more room. It seats four people comfortably day to day, with space for six when extended. The four chairs have sturdy metal frames with padded seats and tall backrests that support you through longer meals.
The toughened glass top wipes clean after meals, sorting spills and marks quickly. The butterfly extension mechanism stores neatly underneath, so there's nothing extra to find space for when not in use. Each chair supports up to 130kg, making them stable for everyday family use. The integral extension means no separate leaves to store or lose. Self-assembly required with two people recommended, and there's a one year manufacturer's guarantee included.

Glass top table and chairs
I love this table and chairs as it’s lovely to look at but have noticed it is very easily scratched. I am waiting for a table cloth to arrive but will be disappointed that have to cover it. We have used mats at meal times . I actually cannot point a finger on a time it was scratched and there are a few so much be very sensitive.

Nice set but,,,
A really nice set but when putting it together I found there was too much debris left in the chair holes for screwing together. This caused a couple of cross-threading issues to get the screws in properly and safely. I had to check each hole, clean them out. Too many cross-threaded holes and you can't get screws in at all so wouldn't be able to use the chairs. If you buy, and I actually recommend this set, be sure to check all chair mounts!

“ This is shown in the instruction manual on step 2, if you push the two ends of the table back to the centre the middle piece will move automatically. ”

After checking with our supplier, they have advised for the Argos Home Lido Glass Extending Dining Table & 4 Grey Chairs: Yes we have 2 metal support for sliding extension and it is only recommended for 110kgs or for residential used only.
