Worked well.
I bought these for packing thick winter clothes into suitcases for a Canada trip. They worked very well. I don’t know how durable they are, they feel quite thin compared to others that I have used in the past. Having said that, if they work as well on my return trip, they will have saved me an extra suitcase, which would cost a lot more than the cost of these.

Absolutely useless. The first bag would not even seal. The second one appeared to seal but lost vacuum completely within half an hour.

I've bought these before and they are OK. After a few months they swell a little and need to use hoover to take excess air out - but I've never found any other makes that don't. Overall, I'm satisfied with this purchase.

Great bags - instructions poor
These bags are very robust and the sealing system is good. However, the valve closing mechanism gets in the way of my vacuum's nozzle. I struggled with it and then found that the plug detatches, making it much easier to use. This was not appparent on the instruction leaflet.

These Vacuum Storage Bags are really designed for HOME STORAGE, and NOT intended to be folded with the contents inside! Possibly rolled, depending on how much is inside the bag and how thick, but definitely NOT folded! Despite being thick plastic bags, the slightest nick will break the vacuum, cause them to inflate and render the vacuum storage bags unusable for their purpose. They can be folded once deflated and EMPTY, which is what the last reply probably thought you meant. Hope this helps.

Also, you CANNOT get 24 sweaters into 1 of these MEDIUM bags, despite the previous reply stating this! The write-up states - This SET can hold up to 24 sweaters or 4 large pillows. ie that is the total in ALL 4 bags, NOT in a bag! However since these MEDIUM sized bags are ONLY 47cm x 57cm, I think you would struggle to get 7 sweaters in each bag! Also, a previous reply by Argos stated - This is designed to fit a standard sized pillow or 3 jumpers! Hope this AND my other reply help.
NO. Vacuum Storage Bags are designed for storing soft items like soft toys, cushions, quilts, pillows, bedding, and clothes, that will take up less space AFTER the air is vacuumed out. They are NOT designed to be filled or lifted, without vacuuming the air out 1st. There are no handles or zips. The side opening is for creating a seal once you vacuum the air out via the valve with a hoover hose. You are better off getting regular storage bags that would suit your purpose. Hope this helps.

You MUST use a VACCUM CLEANER HOSE to vacuum out the air from ANY vacuum storage bags, NOT an air bed pump, or a hand pump, as the previous reply mistakenly said. These are designed to be used with a vacuum cleaner hose, as you need the strong suction of a vacuum cleaner hose to suck the air OUT, NOT a pump that would put air in! Hope this helps clear this up.

Without comparing the valves on these bags to the type of valves, and pump, you received with the different brand bags you previously bought, it is IMPOSSIBLE to say whether your pump would work. BUT I think it UNLIKELY because, these Vacuum Storage Bags are designed to have the air removed with a VACUUM CLEANER HOSE over the valve. You need the strong suction of a vacuum cleaner to suck the air OUT. A pump is not strong enough, and usually pumps air in. Hope this helps.
