I purchased this step stool to help me reaching into high cupboards and top shelves. It fitted together easily and I applied some rub in polish to finish it off. It looks great and make a comfortable extra stool as well. Its stable and strong, I’m very pleased with my purchase

Solid wood stool
I bought this 3 weeks ago. I regret this purchase. Large and takes up a lot of space. The top step is too wide and I hurt my shin when I first used the stool stepping up. Flat pack so I think may have to keep this. Not sure of the return policy for this type of item. It does the job.

Hard to assemble
This stool looks great and should be simple to put together but the instructions are not clear for example on which way round the pieces go together. The screws for the top step did not go in fully and the top step is not fixed but moves. It doesn't fall apart - or hasnt done yet but each time we lift it up I am concerned that the top will come off.

If its varnished just lightly sand it then paint it. Oh no but your guarantee will be defunct goodness sake like that matter for such an inexpensive piece.
