The case looks good and feels expensive which is good. The only problem I have with it is it is quite difficult to get off, which is an issue when I need to switch between the case and attaching a keyboard

This will be compatible with the 8th gen as the form factor hasn't changed. The 2020 iPad air won't fit in this case.
