Somehow, two different ones don't work
I bought these about a week ago. I tried the E14 bulbs they are supposed to go with as per the description. Nothing turned on. I then tried the bulbs they're suggested to go with. Nothing turned on. I tried the different bulbs, different sockets, I've had enough, I don't think it's supposed to be this hard to put a bulb in a lamp to then have it turn on. I must've somehow got two defective lamps and that's why they're on sale. Don't know how everyone else's worked. Such a shame because they're such cute colours and the basic design I was after and great price! I plan to go in for a refund on the lot, what a waste of time.

It uses a single E14 small edison screw LED bulb up to 6 watts, so you can pick the right brightness for your needs. It's not sold specifically as a reading lamp though and the brightness would depend on factors like your chosen bulb wattage (up to that 6 watt maximum) and the distance it is away from the place you'd be reading.
