The BT Everyday Phone features excellent sound quality and is easy to set up. Block up to 20 numbers and use the built-in Do Not Disturb Mode. With an easy to read backlit screen you can save up to 50 contacts, control the volume and redial any of the last 20 calls you made. (You must subscribe to a Caller Display service from your network provider to block nuisance calls. Charges may apply).

LOOKED AT QUITE A FEW BUT THIS WAS THE BEST
HAVING THE NEED TO REPLACE OUR OLD LANDLINE CORDLESS PHONE LOOKED AROUND AT QUITE A FEW BUT CHOSE THIS ONE ON PRICE REALLY & ARE QUITE PLEASED WITH IT BASIC YES BUT DOES ALL YOU NEED SOUND QUALITY COULD BE A LITTLE BETTER & A HIGHER VOLUME ON CALL RECEPTION WOULD MAKE IT BETTER

Ringing volume not really loud enough and very limited ring tones. Also did not realise there is no speaker phone option. Looks good but expected a bit more.
No, sorry, the BT Everyday Cordless Telephone - Single does not have a dedicated keypad lock.

I have a couple of suggestions:-
1. You should NOT switch power OFF. The batteries will not fully charge if you do so. I think I am correct in saying that "Standby " means without use, but not without Charge.
2. Is the phone new ? The batteries will need several FULL Charges before they charge to their full capacity.
3. Charge the batteries fully using a separate charger. If they have been ' run down ' daily, It may well be the batteries have never been fully charged.
I think No. 1 will solve your problem.
