Easy to use!
This is great for me as lifting a kettle is just too heavy. I would highly recommend for the “older” person. Only thing is it’s heavy to lift to fill so I just use a jug. Dial for how much water you require is a good idea as I only have a small cup,where as visitors have a mug.

It’s not that great to be honest. Bought it for my mum as a Christmas present as we needed a new kettle. She had only got it up and running a few months ago. It’s a nice design although we now have to have a jug of water to filter our water as we don’t drink straight out the tap. Would be nice if they made a kettle with a filter inside and the same design as this one. Filling the kettle up is good and easy process. The button does its job when you press it. It’s just when the flow of water comes out and finishes. It’s so depressing and annoying. Never comes out straight into the mug. The water goes to the back of the nozzle and then runs all down the kettle where the measurement of the water is at the front min/ max. If that makes sense. So a bit annoyed there. But apart from that everything else about the kettle is okay. Easy to move the handle for a small mug to large mug.

A great replacement
Bought this to replace my old one, which was also a variable Breville, but it was round and black and lasted forever so I knew I wanted to replace with the same trusted brand. This one looks smarter in silver and is quieter. It’s a bit more fiddly to fill up though, instead of filling straight from the tap, it’s easier to use a jug. Otherwise, it does everything I need it to. It did have a strange taste at first but run the water through more times than it recommends in the manual and it soon goes away. Overall, I’m really happy with my purchase.

Fantastic
This was a replacement for a one cup dispenser. The water tank is a much better size, not having to refill it so often is much better. When the hot water is dispensed it it much quieter than our other model. We are very pleased with it's preference and would definitely recommend it. There is ability to put different amounts of water in cups and there is a switch to stop the water if you need. Fantastic.

Hi Stef. Breville VKT111 HotCup does not have different speed settings. It dispenses hot water at a single, automatic rate—you can change the cup size (variable dispense), but not the speed of dispensing.

Hi there, the measurement from the bottom of the nozzle is 12cm but you can also get more room by removing the drip tray which is magnetic and the space is then 14cm.

I dont think so but it only lasts for 4 -5 seconds anyway.
