Customers Say
Stylish toaster with even browning, good controls, and accommodates thick slices. Some find the cable placement and plastic parts cheap, with occasional uneven toasting and low pop-up.

Best toaster ever owned and goodlooking too
Fantastic toaster which browns evenly on both sides, copes with different thicknesses of bread and has extralift for smaller items like crumpets

Ugly electrical cable
I was initially happy with the toaster (lovely colour), until I came to unpack it. Whoever thought of putting the electrical cable on the front. If it had been at the back of the appliance, it could have been disguised or hidden, but being at the front is an ugly feature. Very disappointing. For reference, the picture on the website shows the appliance with no lead at all, so you would never have known. Very misleading (pardon the pun). In contrast, the matching kettle is great

So so
It’s a big cheap looking. It’s a bit clunky. Doesnt seem to toast the bread that well

Looks good but cheap in terms of manufacture.
Looks nice but had to return due to a fault with one of the levers which was not working every time. My feeling overall is that there is a cheapness to the design, in particular the buttons and levers which are made of light plastic and not very substantial.

A safer way than a knife or chopsticks is a pair of small wooden tongs that we attached magnetically to the side of the toaster. Its worked well for 22 years - both the tongs and the toaster!
The answer already given about pushing the lever up once toasted does not work this feature is available on other makes, but is not on this one. The previous answer is sadly misleading as I found out after purchasing. The only way to get smaller goods such as crumpets or bagels out, is by spearing with a knife or fork, or my personal favourite, a chopstick!
Hi Sarah,
Pushing the levers full up once the toaster has finished will allow you to grab the food that has been toasted easier.
Thank you for using Q&A.
