Purchased to match my new kitchen, very pleased with it however the handles are plastic and very shiny painted chrome which lets the product down

Bought as replacement for Russel Hobs model , on openning dissapointed with how cheap this toaster looks , the plastic chrome effect is very tacky. The slots are not big enough for larger slices of bread. The adjustment and general performance are satisfactory

Bought it on the 1st of January took it back the next day did not like the way the power cord came out of the front of the toaster making the kitchen look untidy

Disappointing
Feels a bit cheap, and the dials for the amount of time your bread is toasted for are not good. You either get what is essentially warm bread, or it's burnt! Haven't returned as we have used it, but certainly wouldn't buy another de longhi product

It's OK but. Power cord is at front rather than the back, and there are some slight marks on top like blistering on the metal which I will keep an eye on , and replace if worsens. And if you toast teacakes it doesn't lift up enough when done.

A safer way than a knife or chopsticks is a pair of small wooden tongs that we attached magnetically to the side of the toaster. Its worked well for 22 years - both the tongs and the toaster!
The answer already given about pushing the lever up once toasted does not work this feature is available on other makes, but is not on this one. The previous answer is sadly misleading as I found out after purchasing. The only way to get smaller goods such as crumpets or bagels out, is by spearing with a knife or fork, or my personal favourite, a chopstick!
