I had this toaster for about three weeks and it seemed to toast bread fine on no 3, however I then found I had to keep increasing the number on the toast dial to get bread toasted, ended up on highest setting. I returned toaster and replaced it with another brand. Maybe there was a fault with that particular toaster. I

Lovely design
Was very happy with colour and style but disappointed when I used it , doesn’t pop the toast and crumpets up so your able to get them out without using something, and the cable comes out the side not the back so when on my work top you can always see the cable

Purchased this toaster along with the matching kettle, Unfortunately I returned it as the black lead is for some reason at the front of the toaster and looks a bit unsightly shame as a lovely looking toaster.

The answer already given about pushing the lever up once toasted does not work this feature is available on other makes, but is not on this one. The previous answer is sadly misleading as I found out after purchasing. The only way to get smaller goods such as crumpets or bagels out, is by spearing with a knife or fork, or my personal favourite, a chopstick!
