We purchased three of these seats for our eldest child after using the Pebble and Pearl, buying them in advance as we were expecting our second child. They have had around 18 months of use, with one seat used fewer than ten times as it stays with grandparents. The quality is extremely poor. There is a clear design flaw where the side wings weaken and the covers constantly pop off — exactly the same issue raised in countless other reviews. It gets to the point where the covers have to be refitted on almost every single journey. One of the seats also has an ISOFIX fitting that regularly jams, which is completely unacceptable for a safety-critical product. Unfortunately, we put up with these problems for too long and are now just outside the two-year warranty. Maxi-Cosi’s response was simply to offer Velcro to stick the covers down. For a product sold at a premium price and marketed as lasting up to 12 years, this is frankly ridiculous. Given the sheer number of poor reviews, our long-term loyalty to the brand, and the safety expectations that come with a child seat, we expected far better. Our youngest now needs her own seat, and based on this experience, we will be taking our business elsewhere. We also realised that the issue is not apparent, until you extend the back as the child grows so it is unlikely many people would realise under warranty, as in its lowest setting it is held in place better.

The cover keeps falling off
This car seat falls apart. The back and sitting pieces constantly come off leaving the car seat exposed and now the polystyrene part has starting wearing away. Don’t recommend!

Design flaw
Absolutely terrible design. We have 2 of these seats and the covers constantly come off. I feel like I spend more time putting them back on than I do driving my car! AVOID

Poor design, solid chair but material keeps coming off!
On the face of it, the car seat is solid, but as with a lot of the other reviews we have found that the cover just keeps coming off. Thought it was down to my son to begin with, but actually a bad design. The seat looks awful as soon as the cover comes off, and it’s annoying that I own two of these chairs, as it’s happened on both!

Fabric is useless
Had this seat for a few years now. The fabric kept falling off in the first year. We thought our son was just a fidget but no the fabric is useless. We’ve had to abandon the fabric altogether. The edges of the seat are pressed out further than in the pictures. Really poor design. No seatbelt protector for their neck. We did not purchase this for our second child and would not recommend. An expensive mistake. If we’d had the time we would have made a complaint.

Cover always falls off
As with many other reviews, the cover constantly falls off this seat. It is driving me crazy having to constantly put it back on. How is maxi cosi making a product this poor??? I would like to know if you are making an updated model where the cushion actually stays attached and if so I would like to swap mine in please.

Absolutely rubbish!!
Worst car seat ever.The cover keeps falling off, so we have to adjust and put it back on before and after every journey. Frustrating beyond words. Our daughter is now refusing to sit in it and we have a car seat costing a fortune good for bin.

Good but…
My daughter has been using this for a couple of years now. Overall its a great seat but as the size of the seat has increased, the back cover will not stay on. Every car journey ends with the cover hanging off one side or both without fail. Disappointing when initially it was ok.

Super annoying covers slip off constantly
Second kore i size and same cover issue! I purchased a second one for my second child (it felt wrong to give them different seats and i thought id give the benefit of the doubt) but alas the same issue (nearly 2 years down the line) this sear cover has not been washed or removed once and it still does it. Major design fault which i cant believe HASN'T been rectified and is still being sold??

Fabric is getting off from the seat, should be fixed every day.
Bought two years ago two kore seats. In general they are comfo for kids, easy to install, and all together seems fine. But the fabric after first wash does not fit anymore (on both seats, washed in cold water according to instructions). It is so annoying to fix fabric every single day even after short driving. That’s why i would not RECOMMEND to buy that car seat.
