Made from cast iron with a tough enamel coating free from lead and cadmium, this lidded casserole dish is suitable for most hobs including gas and induction. It's oven safe too, up to 260 degrees. Designed to create hearty meals for up to 5 people, this big pot can go straight from oven to table. And while it might be a bit heavy for some, at 5.3kg it's got all the cast iron quality you've been looking for. Easy to clean, just hand wash it in warm soapy water.

Study and good size for batch cooking
Was looking for a scratch resistant / non toxin pot so this fit the bill. It looks and cooks great. Not as non stick as the actual non stick cookware (but they release toxins) so need to use more oil. Reasonable price, especially while it was on promo. Bought one for myself and one for my mum to be friend to help with batch cooking as it’s a nice large size.

Item excellent, but very heavy.
This was bought as a gift. The recipient commented that it was 'perfect'! Beware though...it is very heavy! The only problem we had was in getting hold of it! It couldn't be delivered and our Argos had sold out. This was a long while before Christmas and they didn't get any more in. As argos don't move things between stores, we had to have a day's outing to collect it!

Perfect for baking bread.
I bought this for baking sourdough einkorn bread and it is perfect for this. It is very nice quality but not too heavy and I'm sure we will use it for other things in the future, like roasting meat, as it is very easy to clean.

The vibrant surface colors (orange, blue, green, etc.) are created by pigments. Therefore, although fundamentally glassy in nature, the coating is not 100% pure glass—it is a glass matrix blended with metal oxides.
