Not as advertised
I bought this as a replacement for my windows10 desktop. I was disappointed to find no card reader built in, despite reports of one in the Q&A section for this product on the Argos website.

Good computer
A good computer easy to setup. I think it came with windows 11 in S mode this is easy to remove the S via the App Store. I3 fast enough for most applications but be aware no dvd drive but a fitting kit supplied. Also no SD card reader but a slot for it.

I brought one of these PCs a few weeks ago, and I can confirm there is NO SD READER, there is a marked slot in the case which has been blanked off, Internally it is missing the SD card reader circuit board.

The Acer XC 1710 i3 8GB 256GB Desktop PC has a SD card reader located on the front along with the USB connections.
In order to use the SD card reader on this PC, you need to align the card so that the connector points towards the port, with the connectors facing down, and then carefully slide the card into the slot. It will click into place when there are a few millimetres of the card still outside of the slot. If there are already files on the card then the Windows Autoplay window may appear and ask you how you want to view the files on it.

i believe this is is a bracket to fit an additional hard drive inside the machine if you wish to have extra storage

From the information we have available, I can advise the Acer XC 1710 i3 8GB 256GB Desktop PC does not come with internal audio speakers. You would need to use external speakers or headphones for audio output.
