good picture, poor sound
bought couple weeks ago and reasonably happy with it, simple set up, good picture, albeit colours are very rich, but sound is very poor, sounds like the speakers are tucked away in a box behind tv, gives an echo to the sound, spent some time adjusting settings which has made it vaguely better, would definitely recommend a sound bar or something with it, its not a patch on the sound quality of my 18 year old Toshiba. factor in the price of a soundbar to the purchase price

Amazing for the price!
Bought this TV last week for our living room. Super happy, especially for the price! Super lightweight, thin and low profile. The colours are really vibrant and bright, even placed as it is in a bright room next to the window.

Fantastic tv
I was a bit unsure after reading some mixed reviews, but I’m really glad I bought this TV. The picture quality is excellent, with bright colours, sharp detail and impressive contrast. HDR content looks great, and films and TV shows are a big improvement over my old TV. Setup was quick and straightforward, and the smart features are fast and easy to use. The Freely service is a nice addition, and all the main streaming apps were ready to go. I’ve also connected my PC and Xbox Series X, and both work brilliantly. Game Mode keeps everything responsive, and 4K content looks fantastic. Overall, this TV offers excellent value for money. If you’re looking for a good-quality 50-inch 4K QLED TV without spending a fortune, I’d definitely recommend it.

Brilliant picture quality
Perfect TV, Glad i bought it, and really good price. Just be mindful, not like me to measure your TV unit to make sure it fits, or you'll need to buy a universal stand, which is cheeper than a new unit.

Decent tv not great sound
The colors of tv are good, vibrant and resolution very clear. The tv is not too bright but is good for a bedroom or dimmed room. The tv is smooth and responsive but the WiFi could be faster . I had some buffering during live football playback . My Internet speed was not an issue. Upscaling feature is fine but is mess up with the color tone on people faces and it is noticeable. The contrast is of the display is good and there is not much white cloud in black scenes. One big problem are the speakers, they are not very clear and inconsistent. I struggled with movies when the speech is very unclear or muted . Very good display for the price with great features ,I highly suggest an external sound bar to go with it. I am happy with the purchase .

Serious bang for buck
A lot of tv for the money. One of the very best out there for this kind of money. If you are a Ps5, Xbox series X or Pc gamer then tv meets all your needs with Alll, Vrr and 144hz. These modes work solidly. I tested this Hisense with several Star Wars and the Dune movies and I have to say it completely outperformed the previous Samsung and LG tv's I've had and both of those were very good. Dark scenes achieved near inky blacks with detail. All colours really pop thanks to its Mini Led and Qled panel plus Dolby vision. If you have a bright sunlit room, it doesn't seem to bother this screen as I found out. Nearly 1000 nits which is plenty enough. Even the built in speakers are surprisingly good. Motion handling is very good too with separate smoothing and judder controls. I tried these during some of the World Cup matches and it coped very well indeed. It's built in Subwoofer impressed me, obviously I haven't pushed to extreme volume levels in a huge living room. Our room is only 12 by 13 foot and believe me the bass was sufficient It won't match separate subwoofer levels but still very good and for this price, amazing. This tv supports Dolby Atmos when switched on the sound is wide considering it only has a 2.1 built in setup but manages to punch above its class. When watching sd channels the upscaling surprised me. Yes there is better out there but at a much heavier price. I forgot to mention the connectivity is generous too with 4 hdmi version 2.1. 2 of them 60hz, the other 2 144hz but support Allm to reduce controller lag during gaming. I was glad to see the addition of a 3.5mm headphone socket as so many other manufacturers have aadly done away with this now. If you are planning to use a sound bar then this connection is the way to go as there is no lipsync delay unlike Bluetooth. This Hisense has good looks to match with a decent looking stand and tiny screen bezel will look good in any room. Five out five for me, outstanding value and bang for buck.

No, it doesn’t have Freeview.
Thanks for using Q&A
Hello Toady,
The supplier has advised the following for the Hisense 43 Inch 43E78QTUK Smart 4K UHD HDR QLED Freely TV:
The Hisense 43E78QTUK supports Alexa and Google Assistant, but Alexa is not fully built in like an Amazon Fire TV. Normally, voice control is activated by pressing the microphone button on the remote.
As you are unable to press remote buttons, you would need to connect the TV to an Amazon Echo/Alexa device or Google Nest speaker on the same Wi-Fi network. This allows hands-free voice commands such as:
“Alexa, turn on the TV”
“Alexa, open Netflix”
“Alexa, volume up”
You do not need a Fire Stick, but using a Fire TV Stick with an Echo device usually provides the best and easiest hands-free experience.
Please note that the initial setup may still require some use of the remote control.
Thank you for using Q&A.
