Several reviews said this didn't heat up properly. I have a problem with keeping warm and this has been fine for me on #2 I'm sure when the frost and snow arrives #3 (top setting) will be fine. I really love the teddy fleece of this it adds another level luxury. After reading review comments on the blanket sizes I bought the double size for my small double bed, it fits perfect. The straps needed adjusting but that was a quick and easy fix and I now have a heated blanket that fits full width of my bed, no cold edges!! For the price I'm really liking this. 5*

After checking with our supplier, they have advised for the Silentnight Teddy Fleece Electric Blanket - Single: ''All Silentnight products are safe to use with an electric blanket however other brands would need to be checked with the manufacturer directly.
We can only advise for Silentnight memory foam. Please be aware memory foam softens with heat, ensure it cools down to regain shape.''

Yes you put a fitted sheet on top of the electric blanket, make bed as usual with quilt on top, I switch on and warm bed at setting 3, then when I get in turn setting down to 1
