Probably the best tv’s on the market

First impressions
First impressions are good.. for the price bracket this TV produces good picture, the brightness & contrast seems good on both HD & UHD. Remote is quite nice with big buttons. HDR colours option in HD looks quite good too. The only downside are the legs which seem flimsy and if you have a soundbar attached you don’t get any volume numbers on screen, just up and down.

Great picture quality, but lacks Displayport input
This is my third Hisense 55E78QTUK PRO, and I purchased all three primarily for use with my flight simulator setup. The picture quality is excellent, delivering sharp detail, vibrant colours, and an immersive viewing experience. At this price point, I was unable to find another TV offering a comparable specification and feature set. My only criticism is the lack of a DisplayPort input. Hisense markets this model as an excellent gaming TV, which is certainly true in many respects; however, PC gamers using high-end graphics cards are limited to HDMI connectivity. While the HDMI ports support high resolutions and refresh rates, using a DisplayPort-to-HDMI connection can result in reduced available bandwidth compared to a native DisplayPort connection. For users seeking to maximise the capabilities of a powerful GPU, the inclusion of a DisplayPort input would have made this TV an even stronger option. Overall, the 55E78QTUK PRO offers outstanding value for money, with impressive image quality and gaming performance that are difficult to match at this price level.

The Hisense 55E78QTUK PRO has a maximum refresh rate of 144 Hz (up to 144 FPS) and will run at this rate when connected to a compatible gaming PC via HDMI 2.1, with a game or application set to output 144 Hz. Live TV and most streaming content do not run at 144 FPS because they are broadcast at much lower frame rates.
