Who needs a kettle?
Who needs a kettle? This product has come to the rescue and replaces my kettle: I had injured my arm (rotator cuff), which meant an awkward manoeuvre with a kettle full of boiling water. Now, once I've filled this Swan SWD1004 instant hot water dispenser at the beginning of the day, I can have coffee (on tap!) just by putting a cup under the water spout and pressing a button. Lovely

Safer than a kettle
This item is much safer than a standard kettle, however it only dispenses one cup of boiling water and it takes a long time to boil

Terrible don’t waste your money
Bought this on the 2nd of January first couple of days was fine. Then it started not even letting a teaspoon of water out going to see where I stand in taking it back and getting my money back.

No use for hard water area.
Bought this on 2nd. 5 days later unfortunately for me it needed descaling. I live in hard water area. I would have returned it but I don’t have the original box & thats on returns sale. So can’t use it or return it.

Waste of money
Brought this 1 month ago. Only boils 1 cup at a time. Only fills quarter to half a mug at a time, so you have to run it twice to get a hot drink in a normal mug. The stop button doesn’t work and continues for quite some time before actually stopping.

Perfect for a single brew - helped my mother
Bought for mother in her 80s struggling to lift kettle. Does exactly what i needed. Loses one star only because it's hard to get the right amount of water: it dispenses a specific amount and if you press a second time to (say) fill the mug, it will overflow. The stop button only stops the 'boiler' doesn't stop dispensing, once started. I will say, I started using it as it was very convenient to just boil one cup of water and I can leave the mug in and do other things and the tea bags will have already started brewing.

I purchased this to replace a worn out similar item. It so far has performed well and does exactly what I wanted, not many retailers seem to stock this item so I was pleasantly surprised to find that Argos did and was able to click and collect 👍

After checking with our supplier, they have advised for the Swan SWD1004 Instant Hot Water Dispenser - Black: Its 27cm as it’s the width of the dispenser, once the flap is opened it reduces to 25cm inside.
