Great looking
Bought this item about 6 months ago and are pleased with it. Onlyslight problem is that it needs descaling far too often.

V good for a tea belly with rheumatoid arthritis
I bought this due to having Rheumatoid arthritis and struggling to lift a kettle safely anymore Overall it is a great machine with its two touch dispenser button i wanted one that dispensered more than just a 200ml cup and this one has a continuous flow when pressed twice, it is alot quicker than a normal kettle too it starts dispensing hot water in just three seconds I love that it also has a large capacity at 2.5ltr so less refills My only issue is the drip tray is very slim so my large tea mug doesn't sit on it safely so I've taken it off and the water dispenser is very slow its more like a trickle, but Overall its does make making a cup of tea much safer for me

Disappointed
Bought this a few weeks ago. Boils instantly and it hot enough for a cuppa. What I am disappointed by is that one touch of the button only gives you 200ml which doesn't fill a mug. When you press it twice it's a continuous flow so you have to stay close by so your mug doesn't overflow.

Excellent value
Excellent value. Had a few different makes over the years. Sean is definitely the best. Wish I had bought earlier.

nice and compact
I bought the Swan water dispenser as a replacement, (different brand) although it's nice and compact and it's easy to fill, it doesn't have a removable water container so you can't pour unused water out, also it's not easy for me to see the water level, it doesn't dispense much water at a time and the water doesn't stay hot for long.

Meets requirements
I bought this as I was constantly having to descale the kettle. Pleased with the product though I do think the water tank could have clearer markings. For those with hard water it is a good buy but if this isn't your reason for purchasing a hot water dispenser I would consider the considerably cheaper models

Hot water dispenser
Had about one month now its nice and compact holds over 2lts of water its a lot quicker than a kettle all the water gets filtered i drink manly coffee and found it good for that as the water doesn't have to be at boiling point but for tea its still good but water temperature is slightly down that a boiling kettle

Hello there,
After checking with our supplier, they have advised for the Swan SWD1001 Instant Hot Water Dispenser - Black: Please see the below,
Filter Type: Anti-limescale water filter cartridge (often sold as a "Swan Replacement Filter Twin Pack").
Replacement Frequency: The filter should be changed regularly based on water hardness—roughly every 6 weeks for hard water or up to 3-6 months for softer water.
Function: It fits into the water tank to reduce chlorine, limescale, and impurities.
While some Swan appliances use specialized filters, it is important to purchase the specific "Swan Anti Calc Filter" intended for their hot water dispensers to ensure proper fit.

Hello There.
Swan SWD1001 Instant Hot Water Dispenser - Black:
Yes, The unit includes a replaceable limescale filter, which helps reduce mineral buildup and makes descaling less frequent and much simpler.
Here’s a straightforward method commonly recommended for instant hot water dispensers:
Fill the tank to the maximum level.
Add a descaling agent (citric acid, vinegar, or a commercial descaler).
Dispense the solution through the spout until it reaches the minimum level.
Let the solution sit for 30 minutes to several hours, depending on hardness levels. [greenwaykitchen.com], [colourmyliving.com]
Drain, rinse thoroughly with fresh water, and ideally run a full tank of water through to clear any residual taste.
