This mains operated 6V/12V 8 Amp automatic battery charger from Streetwize provides both standard and slow trickle charge for both 6V & 12V batteries. This charger is suitable for charging lead acid batteries only with a maximum capacity of 112Ah. Please check battery capacity before purchase. Ideal for charging 6V/12V batteries found in cars, vans, caravans/motorhomes, motorcycles & lawnmowers. Charge rates: 6V Charge: 5.6 ADC (8 Amp RMS). 6V Trickle: 2.5 ADC (3 Amp RMS). 12V Charge: 5.6 ADC (8 Amp RMS). 12V Trickle: 3.6 ADC (4 Amp RMS).

Charger didn't work; but Argos returns excellent
Plugged it in, connected it, device had no signs of life so had to return it and bought a different make instead. Could probably have checked the fuse in the plug but really I didn't feel that should be necessary with a new item. Argos itself was outstanding with the no-quibble returns, very quick reimbursement and a good range of alternatives one of which I bought and kept.

Simple effective and robust trickle charger. Bought this as I’d bought a more modern unit which failed out of the box. This one has a reassuringly heavy box & is simple to use. Arrow/hand highlights level if charge and gradually moved as the battery is charged. Simple, fair price = job done 👍

This will depend on the type of battery installed. As we don't know the full specifications of the car we aren't able to check the battery installed. This charger is suitable for 12V batteries and batteries with a capacity of 8Ah.

Having checked to see, this does not have any indicator lights nor any significant noise to indicate that it's running. The needle on the dial will show when it's working and show how much it's charged up.
