A mixed bag
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Honestly?I was expecting more from this TV. Picture quality is good, but not excellent. Processing power is seriously lacking. Menu's can be slow to operate and things like casting clunky.

Fantastic
Great picture; super clear and crisp. Upscaling from a curved Samsung and the picture is just brilliant. Recommended for anyone with eye-sight problems. We have it on a wall bracket so that it is easily angled for viewing. Loads of viewing options and so quick and easy to operate. Just brilliant.

Excellent picture quality and outstanding value
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I upgraded to this 55-inch LG B5 OLED from an older 55-inch LG 4K television that had served us well for many years. The improvement is immediately noticeable. The picture is incredibly sharp, colours are rich, motion is smooth and the black levels make films and streaming programmes look particularly impressive. We use the television for a mixture of Sky Q, Netflix, Prime Video and general family viewing, and it performs very well across all of them. Sky Q works perfectly in 2160p UHD, while HD programmes are also presented clearly. The menus and smart features are responsive, and setup was straightforward. The screen was initially brighter and more intense than we were used to, particularly in our fairly dark living room, but the extensive picture controls made it easy to adjust the OLED brightness and colour temperature to suit our eyes. Once set up properly, the picture is both comfortable and excellent. It also fitted securely onto our existing motorised VESA wall mount and works well with our older LG soundbar through the optical connection. Most importantly, I purchased it directly from LG at an excellent promotional price. For the picture quality, features and 120Hz OLED panel, it represents amazing value. I am extremely pleased with the upgrade and hope it serves us as reliably as our previous LG television.

Excellent tv - I still have trust in LG to deliver
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Over the last 25 years, I have continually bought LG TVs. When our 12 year old TV broke a few weeks ago, I went looking for an upgrade from our old 48inch LG. We have had the OLED55B56LA for 3 weeks now and it has beaten our expectations! We have a large lounge and our sitting position is between 4 to 6 metres away from the tv. It was easy to set up. The picture is excellent, the sound is great and at 20 on the volume we can hear everything being spoken. We like the controller and the operating system is really easy to use. We use Apple, Netflix, Hulu, Prime, Sky, Now, iPlayer, ITV, Ch4 and they all stream smoothly, with great pictures and sound. I'm glad we trusted LG again!

Superb picture, awful external sound interfaces
This LG OLED TV has a great picture but is let down by seriously poor audio interfaces and setup, a very sub-par WebOS system and a very annoying AI feature on the remote control. If you just want a punchy, contrasty picture with excellent colour rendition then this is pretty much perfect for the money. You can easily set it up such that it produces realistic colours rather than the overdone ones that can be presets on some TVs. Brightness is easily good enough for indoors. However, that has to be weighed up against the fact that the audio interface/connection/setup is the worst I have ever seen on any electronic device, period. Bear in mind we're using it with an LG soundbar, so it should be seamless. First off, the optical output is so tight you risk breaking the circuit board trying to insert a cable. I had to shave off the flanges on the cable to get it to fit. (It fits the same connector on the LG soundbar perfectly). It's best when using LG TV Bluetooth pairing to connect to same brand devices as you get more than 2 channels. Sometimes it works, sometimes it just fails and uses TV speakers. If you turn the soundbar on after the TV it never connects. If you need to manually connect you have to go through a mess of clicks and embedded menus to get to the saved BT device and then if it connects it still doesn't quit! You literally have to back out of everything again. A totally moronic design. It frequently fails even then, requiring a full TV reboot. Add to that the remote has a useless AI mode the button which is exactly where you rest your finger so it triggers all the time. Oh, and it frequently converts the TV to audio description. The whole interface and software is a god-awful mess. Still, what a picture!
