Excellent TV until it stopped working
I bought The above television on 3/02/2026. Thirteen days later, Monday 16/02/2026 the picture collapsed leaving a totally blank screen. I contacted the LG insurance company and following and a lengthy discussion they advised me to return the television for a replacement or a refund.

Great quality - can't complain!
Finally replaced my old HD TV due to the picture quality deteriorating and wanted to upgrade. The difference is staggering - really good picture quality with no complaints at all. Took a while to figure how to connect to the WiFi but got there eventually (if anyone has similar issues - try "compatible wifi" which fixed the issue for me). Proved to be the best value OLED TV I could find anywhere and the LG discount code meant it was cheaper than anywhere else in the UK. Collection and order process through Argos was all good too.

After checking with our supplier, they have advised for the LG 48 Inch OLED48B56LA Smart 4K UHD HDR OLED TV: To record on this TV you would need a external hard drive with it's own power source that is formated to either FAT32 or NTFS.
The alternative option is to get a set top box which would be easier and the better option.

2nd response from Kath above. Im glad to report that on day two of ownership the apps updated successfully and I was able to use them after first going through a simple sign in procedure where codes were sent to me to complete the process for BBCiplayer, ITVX, channels 4,5, utube, Spotify etc. Also multiple LG channels appeared. Im learning that I can also use the tv as a browser and can connect with my mobile using mirroring app where you can use your mobile to enter info on the tv.
I have had this tv 1 day, had issues straight away with internet connection hence you could not add apps you are interested in. Next day the tv connected itself without password info and installed the apps you are interested in. However they all required updating. When I try to do this it repeatedly messages unable to update and non were installed even though the icons were there. Only contact with LG is via email and awaiting response, I can only view freeview channels. User guide is useless.
