Fits well and is affordable. The waterproof area covers the whole matress area and does not make a rustling sound or crinkle in places unlike other natress protectors previously purchased. Being lightweight with a terry cloth covering means it will be easy to wash and dry too.

After checking with our supplier, they have advised for the Silentnight Terry Towelling Mattress Protector - Cot bed: Waterproof fabrics are non-breathable by design, we recommend 12 months plus as babies can easily lift their heads and support them at this age. Any potential risk of the waterproof fabric restricting the breathing of an infant is therefore minimised.

This would depend on personal use, however, it is made to fit around the mattress tightly, so there would be little movement from the protector.

“ All Silentnight products are safe to use with a Silentnight electric blanket however other brands would need to be checked with the manufacturer directly. In regards to waterproof or plastic backed protectors, again the Silentnight is safe to use however, if there is a likelihood of an accident we do recommend the electric blanket is switch off and unplugged while in bed. ”
