About this product
The Argos Home Kaycie Double Wooden Bed Frame gives you a simple place to sleep that works well in teen bedrooms and guest rooms. It's made from solid Scandinavian pine, a natural hardwood that shows its knots and timber grain for an understated look. The slatted wooden base provides ventilation underneath your mattress and keeps air moving through. Central support adds extra stability across the frame. It fits a standard UK double mattress, so you just place it on top and you're ready.
There's 24cm of space between the floor and the underside of the bed, so you can store items underneath or hoover without awkward manoeuvring. The wooden slats distribute weight evenly and support the mattress without needing a separate base. It arrives flat-packed and needs assembly with two people recommended. The frame handles a total maximum user weight of 110kg. Part of the Kaycie collection with matching under-bed drawers available separately. Manufacturer's one year guarantee included.

Nice bed but difficult to put together
Nice bed but not the easiest to build. Instructions not the best and none of the wood numbered so quite a lot of playing jigsaw. Also not all the holes required were pre drilled, or some only half so it took a lot longer than it should have. However, once built it looks really nice.

Great Bed, Great Price
This was a recent purchase that im extremely satisfied with. After searching for a nearby collection point near, this was conveniently arranged and a very easy process in regard to "Click and Collect" option. It conveniently fitted into my small car and travelled home where I successfully built it and now am the very happy user of the Kaycie Double bed that is giving some very sweet dreams. Thank you Argos for coming thru, again with a great product at a very reasonable price. ( The added 20%discount made it even sweeter!! ) Keep up the great deals for the people, they need them please. Good quality bed, but center leg is 1cm shorter th
Easy to build, good quality wood, and clear instructions. However, the center support leg is 26cm while the outer legs are 27cm. This 1cm difference causes the middle of the bed to sag unless you put a pad underneath it. Had to fix it myself, but otherwise a decent frame.

One night we used the bed and the long side piece split all the way along, now there's currently a brick holding the bed up till I can sort something out. He's 16 and 8 stone so not heavy either

Assembly not for thr Faint Hearted
Bed arrived as lots of bits of wood in a very heavy box so complete assembly required which would be difficult for many and impossiblefor some. Looks alright now complete but suspect it will have a limited life span as the joins work loose with use.

Easy to Collect, Poor Quality
I ordered this bed online after the bed in our rental property broke. Click & Collect was straightforward, and my husband collected it and assembled it the same day. Unfortunately, the quality of the bed was very disappointing. The materials felt very flimsy, and it wasn’t particularly well made. My husband has built plenty of flat-pack furniture over the years and said this was one of the poorest quality bed frames he’s come across. It does the job for now, but I wouldn’t buy this bed again or recommend it if you’re looking for something sturdy or built to last.

Poor paint quality
Purchased this bed and on delivered we unpacked and noticed the finish. The white paint coating is very thin and looks uneven You can clearly see the wood grain underneath I would have returned this bed if we hadn’t already disposed of the previous bed. It makes the bed look cheap
