About this product
The Kensington 9 Drawer Chest keeps your bedroom organised and gives you plenty of space for clothes, bedding and everyday essentials. It's built with nine drawers in total, three smaller ones and six larger ones, all with smooth metal runners that glide open easily. The contrasting metal handles make each drawer simple to access. The oak-effect top and decorative plinth give it a traditional country-style finish that suits classic bedroom schemes. Made in the UK, it's sturdy enough for daily use and fits well in most bedrooms without dominating the space.
The drawers run on metal runners for smooth, reliable operation through years of opening and closing. You can use the top surface for a table lamp, photos or personal items. Wall-mounting is required for safety, brackets and instructions provided. Arrives flat-packed for self-assembly, two people recommended. The wood-effect design keeps things lightweight while maintaining structure. It's part of the wider Kensington collection, so you can match it with other pieces if you're furnishing a whole bedroom.

Spacious and good quality
A nice item of furniture. Sturdy, well made and ample storage. Very nice colour. On the website, the drawers are shown as being sage in colour, the same as the front panels. This is not correct with our chest of drawers and they are all white.

Green unit for bedroom
Bought this 9 draw unit for baby room,it took husband 3 hours to build,lovely green colour ,very heavy and sturdy, would recommend and thinking of buying another.

Beautiful chest of drawers
Bought this a couple of weeks ago. Very sturdy, solid chest of drawers, with ample room. However, although it comes with an instruction booklet, that tells you how to put the flat pack together; (example) put number 16 top to number 15 bottom and slot in 14 . There are NO stickers with numbers on the pieces of wood!!!! Therefore as it states, have a measuring tape as that's the only way you know different. Also count the holes and study the drawing. It took a while, but I did it, eventually😅

After checking with our supplier, they have advised for the Argos Home Kensington 9 Drawer Chest - Ivory: We don’t spray lacquer the panels, we laminate the chipboard with a paper which has a protective surface applied, a type of lacquer, when the paper is printed. Therefore there isn’t the smell associated with furniture that has been spray lacquered. As with all furniture made from chipboard or MDF, there is a very slight odour when the product is first made but this will soon dissipate. It may have dissipated before you receive the product if it has been in stock for a few weeks.
