Good and easy to build
Bought this for a guest bedroom and it was easy enough to build. Without a mattress on it, the ottoman will stay open. Only thing I would say is there isn't an attachment that you can use to lift it up, you need to get your hand down and grip the slat.

Easy to put together, plenty of space for under bed storage, holding together well. Lifts up nice and high when needing to access the ottoman side of things. Mattress fitted fine and does not move, slight gap around the edge but allows duvet to be tucked to keep things neat. Perfect first big bed for my son, comfortable.

King Size Lavendon Ottoman Bed
Finally got round to building this the weekend. It is a stunning bed! The amount of storage is very, very generous. I managed to build it on my own (54f), and it took about 2 hours. Putting my mattress on was more of a struggle than the build of the bed. Be warned, this isn't white. It's an off white/ivory colour, which fits my decor perfectly. I love it! We had the black double years ago, which has now made it's way into our spare room, and we upgraded to a king size. 100% recommend

Good value for money
Good value for money, fairly sturdy but does start getting slightly creaky after some nights sleep. Instructions were fairly straight forward but found the final steps unclear (that could easily just be a me problem though). Overall would recommend this bed :)

A cautionary tale!
This bed was exactly what I wanted a looks great in my bedroom. However, from the first night sleeping on it I’ve not known pain like I was getting in my shoulders and neck. I researched this after a few nights and found the answer was the arched slats was changing the way my mattress lays (pocket sprung) I put a length of plywood over the slats and problem solved. Something I had never even thought about!

I bought this bed frame to go with the new mattress, the bed looks great in black, sturdy bed frame and with lots of storage space, it was easy to navigate the assembly of the whole bed. The bed and mattress together is conformable, he now has a better sleep with this bed and mattress.
