Beautiful display
This is an amazing display. I bought this to sit alongside an existing non-oled display in a 2 monitor set up. The oled really makes the colours pop and of course the blacks are well black rather than a deep shade of grey. I was concerned about an oled for the potential burn-in issues but Samsung have done wonders with the extra cooling designed into the rear of the display and automatic features such as pixel refresh. This is my 1st choice for gaming and samsung have always been known as a strong contender in that area, The only slight niggle is the power led. It is unusually very small and hidden underneath the front of the monitor so much so that I have to put my hand underneath to look for the reflection as otherwise it is impossible to see. Because the display is so black it is impossible to know whether it is still switched on otherwise,

Very good, but not perfect
Would have been perfect but for the following issues: 1. vertical streaks on dark uniform patches (common to OLED) 2. auto-dimming on low-brightness images during the first 20-30 mins of operation; effect goes away after an hour 3. DSR causes problems - I had to limit the panel to 240 Hz and 8-bit colour to get it to switch to games properly 4. no remote control - outrageous, given that the ultrawide version comes with one 5. no option to disable pixel shift (at least with firmware as of 15 Oct 2024) - I limit my peak whites to 80 nits and never use HDR, so I don't need pixel shift; again, other Samsung monitors allow it to be turned off 6. can't quite hit the blue primary, so some of the gamut is clipped (~1.5%)

Great but could be better
Overall a great OLED monitor that is basically the same in quality to other monitors however it does have a few issues that I hope Samsung issues a firmware update for. For example the lack of control over Display Stream Compression (DSC) can sometimes lead to frustrating issues like black screens during alt-tabbing and incompatibility with NVIDIA DSR. The inability to disable pixel shifting, while intended to prevent burn-in, can be a limitation for those who prefer more customization options. Despite these minor drawbacks, I still think it is a superb monitor but Samsung should offer a firmware update for those of us that want to disable these settings

this monitor is so sexy you will need a really good computer to play at 1440p 360 but you should spend all your money because this monitor seems pretty future proof
