About this product
The Habitat Bournemouth Storage Bench gives you somewhere to sit while you sort your shoes and keeps hallway clutter tucked away out of sight. It's got a classic panelled design with a blue painted finish and a natural pine top that adds warmth to your entrance. The storage space underneath swallows boots, trainers and bags, so your hallway stays tidy even when everyone's rushing in and out. There's a sturdy bench seat that's just the right height for perching while you lace up or slip off shoes.
The pine top sits on a solid structure that holds its shape through daily use. The freestanding design means you can position it wherever works best, against a wall or in an alcove. It's 119cm wide, so there's room for a couple of people to sit side by side if needed. Simple self-assembly required, one person can manage it, and all the fixings are included. Covered for one-year with the manufacturer's guarantee.

I bought this storage which was excellent quality and size and design. Argos team and excellent from start to finish and if the product is not really what you want, their return process is very efficient. I would not go anywhere else.

Good quality at a fair price.
Very pleased with this, good quality at a fair price. Using it to store shoes and to sit on when putting shoes on. It took me a couple of hours to assemble it but I did manage in my own. Nice and sturdy and a nice colour, I bought the blue one but it is more like a very dark blue/gray.

Faulty
Bench lid didn't open fully/stay up once put together. Emailed the parts department, as per the instructions, who said that they didn't have any spare hinges and that they wouldn't be getting any in future. They advised to phone customer services - who said to go in store to see if they had spare parts. I thought this odd, but did so anyway. No spare parts, so was told that I had to take the whole bench apart, box it up and take it back to the store for a refund! 100% won't be ordering from Argos again.

Sturdy design
Very good quality, easy instructions. The look and design are Very nice, and is sturdy enough to be used to sit on to put your shoes on.

Decent Bit of Furniture
Two people are required to assemble and the instructions could be improved - we ended up re-doing the brackets for the lid - but it’s a sturdy enough item, looks good and the wooden top is really nice.

The leg width is 5cm, the full width of the unit is 119cm, minus off 10cm (for each leg) will make it 109cm between the legs.

We are not able to recommend soft closers due to the item not coming with any.
If you do add them you would be altering the item which will void the warranty if they are screwed in.
