About this product
The Habitat Bournemouth Storage Bench keeps your hallway tidy and gives you somewhere to sit while you're sorting shoes. It's got hidden storage underneath that swallows everyday clutter like bags, scarves and things you need to grab on your way out. The classic panelled design has a white painted finish with a pine top that adds a bit of natural warmth. There's proper seating space for pulling on boots or tying laces without balancing awkwardly. It's freestanding, so you can tuck it against a wall or move it about if you rearrange things.
The wood with painted finish stands up to daily wear and minor knocks. The pine top contrasts nicely with the white base and creates a two-tone look that works with most hallway colours. Self-assembly's needed with one person, and all the fixings and instructions are provided. It's a smart bit of kit when you need seating and storage but haven't got loads of space. I bought this storage which was excellent quality and size and design. Argos team and excellent from start to finish and if the product is not really what you want, their return process is very efficient. I would not go anywhere else.

Good quality at a fair price.
Very pleased with this, good quality at a fair price. Using it to store shoes and to sit on when putting shoes on. It took me a couple of hours to assemble it but I did manage in my own. Nice and sturdy and a nice colour, I bought the blue one but it is more like a very dark blue/gray.

Faulty
Bench lid didn't open fully/stay up once put together. Emailed the parts department, as per the instructions, who said that they didn't have any spare hinges and that they wouldn't be getting any in future. They advised to phone customer services - who said to go in store to see if they had spare parts. I thought this odd, but did so anyway. No spare parts, so was told that I had to take the whole bench apart, box it up and take it back to the store for a refund! 100% won't be ordering from Argos again.

Sturdy design
Very good quality, easy instructions. The look and design are Very nice, and is sturdy enough to be used to sit on to put your shoes on.

Decent Bit of Furniture
Two people are required to assemble and the instructions could be improved - we ended up re-doing the brackets for the lid - but it’s a sturdy enough item, looks good and the wooden top is really nice.

The leg width is 5cm, the full width of the unit is 119cm, minus off 10cm (for each leg) will make it 109cm between the legs.

Depth 38.5cm.
The unit doesn't have any shoe shelves so would need to be put in loose. As shoe sizes differ it would not be possible to state how many the unit could hold.
