About this product
Tired of only dreaming of a white Christmas? Make it a reality. An icy delight, this 5ft tree comes pre-lit with fibre optic lights, meaning there'll be no de-tangling wires or bulbs for you this year! Just slot the pieces together, lower the branches and plug it in. Once up and built, you'll need to spend a little time tweaking and teasing the tree to give them a thick and full look.
The fibre optic lights change colour and twinkle gently. If you like your trees teeming with tinsel, there's still plenty of room for additional decs. The best thing about this tree? You can use it next Christmas! And the one after that. And many more.

Hi there.
I can advise that the Habitat 5ft Fibre Optic Christmas Tree - White is not supplied with the star tree topper.
Thanks for using Q&A.
They do not twinkle gently ! I was looking forward to getting this tree up. Its a hyperactive, uncontrollable display of lights that make a perfect setting if you want a grand mal seizure. There is no control on fibreoptics it is not soothing or comforting in any way. Really disappointed.
Hi Cat,
The lights on the Habitat 5ft Fibre Optic Christmas Tree - White twinkle gently and change colour. They don't flash constantly but rather create a soft, gradual effect.

Hello there,

Hello Suzanne,
Our supplier has advised that there is a connector. When the two parts of the tree are put together simply connect the wires together by plugging them into each other (one is a male part, the other is female) and ensure they are securely tightened.
I hope this helps
Thanks for using Q&A
It easy just follow the instructions. I haven’t put mine up this year yet. Just connect the leads together
Electricity unit costs are based on a 1Kwh, in other words the cost of using 1000w continuously for an hour. If this tree uses approx 3w as someone else mentioned, that means you could have this on 24hrs a day for almost 2 weeks before its used a 1000w. Basically, if you divide 1000w by the wattage eg in this case 3w, approx 333, then divide your unit cost by this number, that is your running cost per hour, excluding daily standing charges.
Hello Craig,
The supplier has advised the following for the 5ft Fibre Optic Christmas Tree - White:
“ This uses 2.7w an hour. Cost will depend on your supplier and the cost per unit and standing charge. ”
Thanks for using Q&A.
Hi there
