Designed to support you getting in and out of bed this bed rail can also help move you from a lying position to a sitting one. The M contour at the top allows for multiple hand positions depending on how you are lying down. It has an accessory pouch for storing your personal items including your remote control, glasses, magazines and more. The safety strap wraps around the mattress or box spring and it can be dismantled for easy transportation. Width 50cm x H 44-54cm. Weighs 3.4 kg.

A well designed sturdy product easy to assemble.
My elderly grandfather was recently discharged from hospital. His mobility had deteriorated. On his first night home he fell out of his bed. I bought the product the following Sunday morning from my local store. It was in stock !!! I fitted it quickly & easily that afternoon. He hasn't fallen out of bed since. He loves the bed rail and now relies upon it's sturdiness and comfort to help and assist him with getting in and out of his bed.

It’s a very good rail, nicely designed, but unfortunately when we tried it against the particular design of the bed it was too wide. It had to be returned, which was a shame. No problem with return.

I have looked into this for you and I can let you know the manufacturer states "Special extra-long safety strap enables user to be in a single, twin, double, queen or king size bed"
I would also say that by looking at the images this rail need the weight of a standard mattress for stability
