EV charger works well
Feels to be solid and well made. Easy to use, with a small display screen. 10amp output is good for use with a 3 pin socket, although the socket should be upgraded to an EV compatible one to avoid problems with overheating.

Power plug
Bought this as an emergency back up and have used it twice. Both times worked really well.

Ideal 3 pin charger
Seems to be well built. Both the charger and 3 pin plug stays relatively cool whilst charging. My charging cost me .50p per hour and takes about 4 hours to fully recharge. Recommend obtaining a rain cover or case if outside charging. Would recommend.

Type 2 Charger
Ive had this for 3 weeks now and can tell that it's a well made quality product. It's visually nice and is a great charger if you just want to use a normal outside socket.

Great Charging Lead with a tiny screen
Just got my first electric vehicle and wanted an option of home charging that I could take with me during weekends away. The unit has three current settings, I set it to the middle option at 8 Amps, at this current it charges the car battery at a rate of 2 kilowatts (Kw), hence my typical 10 hour overnight charging session adds 20 kilowatt-hours (Kwh) to the car battery, enough to drive 75 miles. I bought this version with the longer 10 metre lead to reach from garage to driveway, the cable is nice and 'rubbery' making it floppy enough to easily store and carry inside a small supermarket type shopping bag. For its price and versatility, this charging solution has proved perfect for my particular needs. Just one word of caution: the screen and text size are clear but tiny, so good close-up reading eyesight is necessary to check the settings and monitor charging progress, or alternatively the car instrument screen might be used.

Hello Charlie B,
I can advise the following for the Masterplug 10m Mode 2 EV Charging Cable with 13A 3-Pin Plug:
This will work with Type Two connections. If you car has a Type Two then it will operate as intended.
Thanks for using Q & A.
Hi Dave, thank you for your enquiry.
The cable between the UK 3-pin plug and the control box is roughly 1/2 a meter, with the cable from the box to the Type 2 vehicle plug being around 9.3 meters (and the control box filling out the rest of the length).
Hope this helps and thank you for your purchase.
Hi Felix, thank you for your enquiry.
The Mode 2 charging regulations specifically limit charging to 10A regardless of cable or plug rating, so the description of the lead having an 13A plug is in fact correct (as _all_ UK spec 3-pin plugs are 13A rated).
Hope this helps and thank you for your purchase.
Hi Kevin C, thank you for your enquiry.
As long as it's used with a suitably EV rated socket marked either "Suitable for Electric Vehicle Charging" or with the standard BS 1363-2/EV (sometimes shortened to BS 1363/EV) then that shouldn't be a problem.
Hope this helps and thank you for your purchase.
Hello Sowal,
I can advise the following for the Masterplug 10m Mode 2 EV Charging Cable with 13A 3-Pin Plug:
Apologies, no, you would need to do this with the cars defer charging feature, if available, in the app or the cars internal settings screen.
Thanks for using Q & A.
Hi Cca8970, thank you for your enquiry.
The maximum power offer from any Mode 2 charger is 10A (2,400W / 2.4kW) but that can be reduced on this charger by pressing and holding the Power button below the screen.
Hope this helps and thank you for your purchase.
Hi Rich, thank you for your enquiry.
As previously advised, we are not aware of any EVs being incompatible with this standard Mode 2 charging lead (providing the vehicle has a Type 2 charging socket).
Hope this helps and thank you for your purchase.
Hi Glen, thank you for your enquiry.
Our technical information for the EVCM221010-MP2 (our model code for this charger) shows the dimensions of the control / monitor box to be:-
245mm (length including cable strain relief grommets) x 87mm (width) x 52mm (height).
Hope this helps and thank you for your purchase.
Hi Fa, thank you for your enquiry.
No, our technical information does _not_ include a carry case for this catalogue code.
Hope this helps and thank you for your purchase.
Hi Rickyb, thank you for your enquiry.
That will depend on how much of the potential 10A being offered the vehicle takes, and how large the battery is.
10A for an hour will give 2.4kW at a nominal 240V.
Hope this helps and thank you for your purchase.
