Does not work without hub. No manual facility
If like me you wanted a cat flap that can work with or without App then this is not for you. You have to have the hub. Not sure why it is sold without. I thought I could add that later when I had more money. I bought the exact same pet flap with manual control. It is really good. Argos great as ever re service and exchange.

Works great. Easy to install. 4 starts instead of 5 as the pet door connect doesnt have the dual funcfion to keep one pet in. Even though they have a dual door as a seperate product but it doesnt have the connect function.

It does the job
It's a cat flap!!! Have to say the draft proof around flap is a utter waste of time other words for it are "as good as a chocolate fire guard" when shut it doesn't even touch the sides so lets the draft in Annoying but as it's fitted into a rear outer porch I can accept it won't fit it into another house where it links inside of house to the outside

I really like this tho it doesn’t always recognise one of my cats on there way out tho would be much better if I could choose who I want to be able to go out as well as come in but keeps the unwanted cats out

Excellent cat flap
You just follow the instructions and download the ‘sure petcare’ app and it is super easy to set up. It has a timer which you can change from the app from wherever you are in the world. If you like to keep your cat’s in at night you can set the cat flap to lock inside and it will allow your cat in but not out. we have set up the curfew which is very easy and works well. you’ll receive a msg when he/she goes through the cat flap. You can send the alerts off if it gets too much. Def recommend.

Having checked I can see Mode 1 - Standard mode: This is the current mode activated on your Pet Door after purchase. It allows only your authorised pets to enter and all pets to exit.

Ill answer my own question as Ive just found out, but may be a help to others.
Its to prevent entry from other cats or small dogs.
Your pet must either be chipped or wear the tag thats provided with the flap, whichever you use, it must be paired with the catflap.

Yes, the SureFlap Microchip Pet Door Connect can be fitted onto a UPVC glass window.

A Hub is requested for the Pet Door Connect to be connected to the APP, without the Hub the Pet Door connect only works as Microchip Standard Pet Door and any update will need to be done manually.

Many Thanks for your question, the Microchip Pet Door Connect controls Entry via the the chip but not exit. You can also Lock and unlock entry, lock an unlock exit or Lock an unlock both ways using the app. For more details you can contact Sure Petcare Customer Service on 08000124511

The curfew mode allows you to set a time when the cat flap will lock and go into 'in-only' mode. This means any cats still outside can come in, but once they are inside will not be able to get back out until the unlock time that you set. This can be controlled via the app and updated at any time.

Hi there, the Pet Door Connect only reads the cat's microchip on the way into the house so you cannot control who can go out. If you need to keep a cat inside then the DualScan Cat Flap is best. Thanks, SureFlap
