The 1000w motor with v-drive system will provide you with more torque, meaning it will automatically increase the power if your mower struggles with long or damp grass.

Does the job
This mower is ideal for smaller lawns. It is fairly lightweight so easy to manoeuvre. Assembly is easy. Cord length is fine for smaller lawns. Cut height could possibly do with being a bit lower. Overall pretty good for the price.

The supplier has advised the following for the Challenge 31cm Corded Rotary Lawnmower - 1000W:
It's vey much up to each person's perception, but for a 31cm mower, it is best suitable for a garden below 50-60m2. It will in theory cut larger lawns, but as it is only 31cm wide, it will take many more passes to cut larger lawns and you will have to empty the grass box more often too.

"Since it is a small machine the wheels do stick out a little wider than the deck." So it won't do right to the edge if it's against a fence.
